Membership in the NEFA Pre-Competitive Program

The Pre-Competitive Program is designed to bridge the gap between Recreational Fencing and Competitive Fencing.

Requirements

· Minimum age of ten years old.
· Continuous enrollment from September through June.
· Consistent enrollment on Wednesday or Thursday is mandatory, plus one additional day.
· Fencing Equipment: Members need a complete competitive uniform. Also, one needs a minimum of two working electric foils, two body cords, and two mask cords
· USA Fencing Access Membership or Competitive Membership required.

Parents and fencers need to realize the commitment to fencing needs to be the same as a commitment to an orchestra, theater group, or sports team.

The Pre-Competitive Program meets on Wednesday and Thursday at the Thompson Elementary School, 187 Everett Street, Arlington, MA.
